Meet Dr. Barekzi

Dr. Barekzi's entry into dentistry started when he worked as a dental assistant and continued throughout dental school.  Early on, he realized subtle things necessary to be a great dentist, such as listening to his patients.  It is important to address the needs of patients and also the importance of educating them.  Patients appreciate the time Dr. Barekzi takes to inform them why a procedure is necessary for their oral and overall health.

Dr. Barekzi's ambition is to show patients, through his work, that dentistry does not have to be painful or uncomfortable.  Patients express nothing but gratitude for his gentle hands and excellent chair-side manner.

It's fulfilling for Dr. Barekzi when a patient tells him how their dental procedures were not as bad as they anticipated (they would be.)

Education and Continuing Education

Growing up in Springfield, VA, Dr. Barekzi graduated from West Springfield High School. Next he received a Biology degree from James Madison University. Dr. Barekzi received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, where he graduated Cum Laude.

Dentistry is continuously evolving and Dr. Barekzi prides himself in continuing his education in fields such as implants, Invisalign, wisdom teeth extractions, and cosmetic dentistry.

In the Office

We have such a great dental team! They are all very active in the community and genuinely care about the patients they see. They are very experienced and our patients love them. All our team members have been with us for many years.

Family and Community

As a dentist, Dr. Barekzi worked in offices in Burke, Fairfax, Reston, and Leesburg before ultimately arriving at Loudoun Valley Dental in Purcellville, VA.

He resides in Ashburn with his wonderful wife Dayna, son Zane, and daughter Payton.

When not working, Dr. Barekzi enjoys time with his family, golfing, skiing, and travelling.

Some of Dr. Barekzi's adventures include running with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain, hiking Machu Picchu in Peru, and Paragliding in Cape Town, South Africa.
