Darlene has had the pleasure of being Dr. Geldart’s office manager for the past 11 years in our Purcellville office, although she has been working in the dental field for more than 30yrs. She has especially enjoyed being involved in opening several new practices in various locations and watching them grow. Darlene is married to her high school sweetheart, Nathan and has 2 grown children, Nikki and Wes and 7 grandchildren, who she says bring her much joy. She also enjoys taking walks and traveling with her husband and friends. Over the years, Darlene has enjoyed getting to know our patients and their families and looks forward to seeing them each year.
Assistant Office Manager & Treatment Coordinator
Cindy has been at our front desk for 7 years but started her dental career as an assistant in 1990 and has worked with Dr. Geldart in various dental offices over the last 17 years. She lives in Stephens City, VA with Dwayne, who she enjoys home decorating, gardening and taking long drives with. She has 2 grown children, Christina and Jeremy. Cindy, who has become our insurance “guru” finds helping patients understand and utilize their benefits is both rewarding and challenging. She also likes getting to know the patients on a more personal level which helps her in communicating with them and helping them to feel more “at home” in a dental environment.
Laurie joined our practice in 2006 after relocating from Indiana. She graduated from a small Jr. college in Iowa from their dental assisting program and has worked as a dental assistant since. She enjoys all types of crafts and reading, though her two sons, DJ & Tyler, keep her busy with school activities and moto cross racing. She and her husband, David also enjoys “cruising “in their 1965 Cobra in their free time. Laurie loves meeting all types of people and learning about them. She receives a lot of pleasure from helping patients have an enjoyable and pleasant dental experience.
After attending Loudoun Valley High school, Nikki went on to graduate from Professional Careers Institute for Dental Assisting in 1992. Since she grew up in the dental office atmosphere, her mother has been in the dental field for over 30 years, it was a natural transition into becoming a dental assistant. Nikki likes educating our patients of the importance for good dental health and enjoys helping them to feel at ease during their dental visit. She lives in Winchester with her husband, Matt and 2 daughters, Kortney and Sierra and enjoys reading in her spare time. Her girls keep her very busy with their various sports activities.
Dental Assistant/ Front Desk
Ilka graduated from Virginia Tech with a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences with minors in Animal Science, Biology and Chemistry. After working as a K-9 officer for the Department of Agriculture at Dulles International Airport for 10 years, she decided to change her career path and joined our practice in October 2005. She is an avid equestrian who has 3 horses and takes lessons to hone her riding skills in preparation for competing in horse trials. Along with taking her beagles for walks, quilting, and crocheting, she really enjoys watching the Red Sox’s games with her husband, Justin. Ilka enjoys chatting with the patients and expanding her ever growing knowledge of the dental world.
Elise’s dental career started in 1981 when she attended dental assisting school. She worked as an assistant until she graduated with a Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene from Thomas Jefferson University in 1991. After working in various periodontal and general dentistry offices, she brought her extensive periodontal knowledge to our practice in 2005. Elise has a passion in dentistry working with patients with periodontal issues and finds it satisfying to see them blossom into healthy, happy dental patients. Elise lives in Purcellville with her husband, Tommy, and 2 children Melanie and Seth. She spends her time outside the office caring for her horses, dogs, and the other critters that reside at her home. She is also very active with her children’s sporting activities, football and horse eventing.
After graduating from high school, Anne attended WVU for a year, and then decided to put her career on hold to start a family. After raising her 4 children, Michelle, Mark, Joseph, and Julianne, to their teen years, she returned to college and graduated from Northern VA Community College in 1997 with an Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene. She has worked for Dr Geldart in various locations for 14 years and has been in the Purcellville office since 2002. Anne lives in Lovettsville on a small farm with her 5 horses and her husband Tom, who she spends as much time as possible with and whom she adores! She also thoroughly enjoys the times she gets to play “Granny to her 2 grandchildren, Lyon and Poet. Anne loves the challenge of helping people relax in the dental office. Seeing patients twice a year allows her to really get to know them and their families which she loves. Her husband makes fun of her because she calls her patients “my friends”.
Bonnie received her Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from Bridgewater College and went on the graduate from the dental hygiene program at Northern Va Community College. She has been in the dental field, primarily as a periodontal hygienist for 29 years and has worked in our practice part time since 2005. The rest of Bonnie’s time is spent as a full time Mom to her 2 children, Melissa and Carson. When she gets a free moment, she enjoys reading, water color painting and doing volunteer work. Bonnie loves meeting new people, educating them about dental hygiene and learning their interest. She also enjoys watching her patients children grow up.
